1. Overview

SmartBlur is an on-premise desktop application developed by Hasantavision ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. Because SmartBlur runs entirely on your local machine, the vast majority of your data never leaves your device.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data you provide

  • License key — sent to our server once to activate your software and periodically to verify license status.
  • Payment information — processed by PayPal; we never see or store your credit card or bank details. We retain only the PayPal order ID and transaction timestamp.
  • Support communications — if you email us, we keep those messages to resolve your issue.

2.2 Data collected automatically

  • License check requests — IP address and license key are logged transiently for fraud prevention and rate limiting. These logs are deleted after 30 days.
  • Website analytics — we may use privacy-respecting analytics on smartblur.app (no third-party cookies, no cross-site tracking).

2.3 Data we do NOT collect

  • Your photos, videos, or any media files you process with SmartBlur.
  • Blurring results, detection metadata, or face/body coordinates.
  • Usage patterns inside the desktop application beyond anonymous crash reports (if you opt in).

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To issue and verify software licenses.
  • To process payments and handle refunds.
  • To provide technical support.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse of the licensing system.
  • To improve our website (aggregated, anonymous analytics only).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

  • PayPal — to process your payment, subject to PayPal’s Privacy Policy.
  • Law enforcement — if required by applicable law or valid legal process.

5. Data Storage & Security

License and transaction data is stored on our infrastructure in the European Union. We use TLS encryption in transit and encrypt data at rest. We limit access to personal data to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
