Privacy model
- Photos and videos are processed on your device for the core blur workflow.
- Original files are not overwritten; SmartBlur exports redacted copies.
- Use fixed rectangle or ellipse regions for stationary identifiers that automatic detection cannot classify, such as screens or documents.
Install in four steps
Windows
- 1Download the SmartBlur installer.
- 2Run the installer and follow the setup wizard.
- 3Open SmartBlur from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut.
- 4Use the 7-day Pro trial to test face/head, body, plate, identity-based selection, fixed manual regions, and live workflows.
macOS
- 1Download the signed and notarized SmartBlur 2.1.5 disk image.
- 2Open the DMG and drag SmartBlur to Applications.
- 3Open SmartBlur from Applications, then allow camera access and the Core Media I/O camera extension when prompted.
- 4Use the 7-day Pro trial to test local photo, video, webcam, SmartBlur Camera, RTSP/RTSPS, and recording workflows on your Mac.
