Processing a Single Photo

  1. Drag and drop an image onto the SmartBlur window, or click Browse Files.
  2. SmartBlur detects all faces and bodies automatically.
  3. Each detection is highlighted with a colored bounding box.
  4. Adjust the blur settings as needed.
  5. Click Save to export.

Batch Processing

Process multiple images at once:

  1. Click Batch Mode in the toolbar, or drag a folder onto the app.
  2. Add multiple files or an entire folder.
  3. Configure your blur settings — these apply to all images in the batch.
  4. Click Start Processing to begin.
  5. Monitor progress in the batch queue.
  6. Processed files are saved to your chosen output folder.

Tip: Batch processing preserves the original file names with a _blurred suffix by default. You can customize the output naming pattern in Settings.

Live Preview

Before saving, use the live preview to see exactly how the blur will look:

  • Zoom in/out — Scroll wheel or pinch on trackpad.
  • Pan — Click and drag the image.
  • Toggle detection overlay — Show or hide the bounding boxes.
  • Before/After — Press Space to toggle between original and blurred.

Tips

  • Higher resolution images take slightly longer to process but produce better results.
