Cloud Video and Credits

This guide covers SmartBlur Pocket for Android 1.0.4 (build 17). Pocket processes photos on your phone. Video uses SmartBlur's cloud service, an internet connection, and your SmartBlur account. Choosing a video does not upload it: you must confirm that specific upload and start the job.

Pocket Pro and video credits are separate purchases. Pro unlocks extra photo tools; it does not include cloud minutes. Both are one-time purchases, with no automatic renewal. Your store shows the price and currency before purchase.

Sign in and check your minutes

Open Settings → Sign in for cloud video. Use Sign in with Google, or enter your SmartBlur Email and Password and tap Sign in. Use the same account you use on smartblur.app.

The Cloud video section in Settings shows your access and available credit packs. After signing in, select a pack using its displayed title and price, then complete the store purchase. Your balance updates after the purchase is confirmed. Purchased minutes stay with that SmartBlur account and do not expire.

Eligible new verified accounts receive ten welcome minutes once. Signing in again or reinstalling does not create another grant. See Account & Purchase Help if a balance or purchase is missing.

Upload one video

  1. Open Home → Video and wait for the cloud-service check.
  2. Tap Choose a video. Follow the supported format and file-size limit shown in the app.
  3. Compare Available minutes with This video. You need enough credit for the full clip; a small remaining balance does not authorize a longer video.
  4. Choose Soft blur, Pixelate, or Solid, then select Light, Strong, or Maximum under Strength.
  5. Read and select Upload this one video.
  6. Tap Upload securely.

Consent is requested again for each video. Keep a reliable connection during upload and download. Once accepted, the job can be queued before processing starts.

The service reserves credit before processing, charges for the processed duration, and releases the reservation when processing fails. A refund can reverse the credits from that purchase.

Download and review the result

When processing completes, tap Download result. After downloading, use Save to Photos or Share. Review the full video in a video player before publishing it, including later frames, scene changes, and fast movement.

Download before the Result expires time shown in the app. Under the Pocket Privacy Policy, source video is removed when processing finishes or fails. Results are normally available for up to 24 hours, with job metadata kept for up to 48 hours; the app may show shorter limits. Downloading is not a promise of immediate deletion of the cloud result.

Discard makes Pocket forget that job on this device. The cloud result still follows its expiry time.

When something goes wrong

  • Cloud video unavailable: read the accompanying message. Check your connection and sign-in, then reopen Video.
  • Not enough minutes: tap Get credits, or choose a shorter clip.
  • Status-check error: use Retry job status when offered before starting another upload.
  • Returning to a previous job: reopen Video while signed in. Pocket attempts to recover a recent job; recovery and downloads depend on its retention window.
  • Saving blocked: allow the requested Photos permission, then retry.

Local photo editing remains available without cloud access. See Quick Start, Support, and the Pocket Terms for more help.
