Update Summary
Supported SmartBlur Windows and Mac website builds check for updates against the SmartBlur update service. Starting with Windows 2.1.0, Windows website app releases are available to Free, trial, active paid, paid-access-expired, and legacy update-window-expired installations. Licensing still controls paid features. Mac website update eligibility continues to follow its signed website channel, and Microsoft Store builds receive updates through Microsoft Store.
Windows versions earlier than 1.5.8, including 1.5.7, do not receive a direct in-app update to SmartBlur 2. Download and run the current Windows installer from smartblur.app/download.
Update Flow
When an eligible website build finds a new version:
- A banner appears in the header, for example, "v2.0.1 available".
- Click the banner to download the update.
- When the download finishes, click Restart & Install.
- SmartBlur installs the update and relaunches automatically.
The updater verifies the downloaded package before installation. Windows website releases follow their existing package-integrity checks. The Mac website updater checks the release signature before installing it. Keep your license key or purchase email available before a major upgrade.
Upgrading from SmartBlur 1.x to SmartBlur 2

Updating the Mac website build
Eligible website builds for Apple silicon Macs use the signed in-app updater. An eligible earlier installation can discover an available Mac release, download and verify the signed update, replace the app in Applications, and relaunch automatically. If no eligible update appears, download the current signed, notarized, and stapled DMG from the download page and install it over the existing copy.
Your existing license and saved settings stay in place when you update.
Website licenses, device activations, and updates remain part of the SmartBlur website channel. Pro Monthly includes app updates during the paid subscription. Manage monthly billing and cancellation in your account; yearly licenses use the renewal page, and Pro Lifetime includes lifetime app updates.
Installing SmartBlur 2 does not convert an existing legacy lifetime license into an annual license. Legacy licenses keep their original access and update terms.
Pro Lifetime License and Updates
Pro Lifetime costs USD $199 once and includes all Pro features, a lifetime license, and lifetime app updates. Neither the license nor its update entitlement expires, and no renewal is required. One license supports one active Windows or Mac website-build device at a time.
Purchase through the English or another non-Indonesian website language using USD checkout, including if you are in Indonesia. Annual Standard and Pro licenses retain their one-year paid access terms; legacy lifetime licenses retain their original terms.

Renewal restores or extends paid feature access; it is not required merely to receive Windows website app updates. Existing lifetime access remains active under its original terms. Mac website builds continue to use their signed website update channel, and Microsoft Store builds update through Microsoft Store.
