Automatic Updates

SmartBlur checks for updates automatically on every launch. You don't need to do anything.

Update Flow

When a new version is available:

1. A banner appears in the header — for example, "v1.3.0 available".
2. Click the banner to download the update.
3. When the download finishes, click Restart & Install.
4. SmartBlur installs the update and relaunches automatically.

Your settings and license are preserved through updates.

Manual Check

You can also check for updates manually from the What's New panel (star icon in the sidebar).

Update Eligibility

After an annual update period expires, the app continues to work — you just won't receive new versions. Visit smartblur.app/renew to extend your update period.
